Federalism in the context of the challenges Ukrainian statehood

Abstract

In article the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of federalism are opened. The nature of federalism as a tool for coordination of national, linguistic, religious and other differences is determined. The article also highlights federalism as a model of effective regional governance and reveals the
manipulative use of the principles of federalism as a tool for aggressive policies. The author focuses on the analysis of the prospects for the federalization of Ukraine in the context of the search for the optimal model of government.
