Abstract

The discussion round table was held at the National Reserve ‘Ancient Halych’ on January 25, 2024. The event brought together leading specialists and researchers of medieval Ukrainian history, focusing on the figure of King Danylo Romanovych (1201–1264), from four Ukrainian cities– Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi. During the discussion, the moderator outlined several key issues, which the invited speakers addressed by drawing on their extensive research experience. The academic debate unfolded over two rounds and lasted more than 180 minutes, offering participants valuable insights into the latest trends in the study of King Danylo of Rus’. The round table was organized to mark the 760th anniversary of the death of Danylo Romanovych and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the National Reserve ‘Ancient Halych’
